Healing happens from the inside out
Our bodies are amazing! We have naturally occurring systems of detoxification working 24/7 to renew us. Unfortunately, those systems can be taxed into overwhelm by stress, emotional and physical trauma, illness, and grief. Healing begins to happen when we are gently supported with heart-centered touch in a safe, soothing environment. Heart-centered bodywork helps to bring body, mind, and spirit into balance so you can live the life you want to live. I offer Reiki/Healing Touch energywork, cranial sacral balancing and Swedish massage to assist you.
My work is here to help you address a variety of issues, including:
- Emotional and physical trauma
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Neck, shoulder, jaw strain
- Pre- and post-surgical situations
- Pain of unknown origin (idiopathic pain)
- Grief and loss
I am available after 5:00pm on weekday evenings. If my availability does not match yours, please contact me and let's see what else might work.
I share a studio in the lovely garden setting of the Davis Village Homes community at 2657 Portage Bay East, #6. Parking is free and on-site.
I look forward to working with you to feel better and in greater balance in all aspects of your life - let's get started!
From time to time, I lead, co-create, or participate in local health and wellness events and welcome new opportunities.
On the first Sunday of the month, you'll often find me at the Davis community Reiki circle hosted by my wonderful friend and colleague Elizabeth Fulmer, RMT, KMT, HTP-A.
In July 2016, I participated on a panel of Reiki practitioners and receivers to introduce Reiki and talk about this fascinating and health-promoting practice. After the brief period of talking, we got to the good stuff - experiencing Reiki! The format included a seated, guided visualization session and light refreshments. No experience or belief was necessary and all were welcome. Look for another Reiki evening to happen in early 2018.
In December 2015, I taught a Self-Reflexology class to UC Davis faculty and staff. We learned reflexology principles and techniques to practice stress reduction while waiting in line, at your desk, on the shuttle, anywhere! Please contact me if you'd like to arrange a similar small-group activity for your home or office.
In November 2015, Elizabeth Fulmer and I offered a workshop on Creating a Meditation Altar. This was a fun and creative evening with time devoted to contemplation as well as crafts. Please contact me if you'd like to arrange a similar small-group event for your home or office.
