Healing happens from the inside out
Our bodies are amazing! We have naturally occurring systems of detoxification working 24/7 to renew us. Unfortunately, those systems can be taxed into overwhelm by stress, emotional and physical trauma, illness, and grief. Chronic stress or illness is especially challenging. Heart-centered touch in a safe environment helps support your parasympathetic nervous system bringing body, mind, and spirit into balance. I offer gentle energywork and blended energy + massage sessions to assist you on that journey. Learn more about me and my training here.
My work is here to help you address a variety of issues, including:
- Emotional and physical trauma
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Grief and loss
- Neck, shoulder, jaw strain
- Pre- and post-surgical situations
- Pain of unknown origin (idiopathic pain)
I am available after 5:00pm on weekday evenings. If my availability does not match yours, please contact me and let's see what else might work.
I share a studio in the lovely garden setting of the Davis Village Homes community at 2655 Portage Bay East, #3. Parking is free and on-site.
I look forward to working with you to feel better and in greater balance in all aspects of your life - let's get started!
From time to time, I lead, co-create, or participate in local health and wellness events and welcome new opportunities.
On the first Sunday of the month, you'll often find me at the Davis community Reiki circle hosted by my wonderful friend and colleague Elizabeth Fulmer, RMT, KMT, HTP-A.
I have participated on a panel of Reiki practitioners and receivers to introduce Reiki and talk about this fascinating and health-promoting practice. The format included seated Reiki, a brief guided visualization session, and light refreshments. No experience or belief was necessary and all were welcome. Look for another Reiki evening to happen in early 2018.
I taught a Self-Reflexology class to UC Davis faculty and staff. We learned reflexology principles and techniques to practice stress reduction and mindfulness while waiting in line, sitting at your desk, commuting on the shuttle, anywhere!
Elizabeth Fulmer and I offered a workshop on Creating a Meditation Altar. This was a fun and creative evening with time devoted to contemplation, ritual, and crafts.
